Web application development for the way your business works

Spreadsheets, shared inboxes and off-the-shelf tools stretched past their limits slow everyone down. We design and build web applications, from a single-page tool to a customer portal with a separate workspace for every role, and run them on Azure or AWS with security, testing and monitoring built in from the first release.

What we build

Business applications in the browser, for customers and staff

A web application runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install and every user gets the latest version at once. We build them for business-to-business and business-to-consumer use: customer portals for booking, ordering and tracking; staff workspaces that replace spreadsheets and email chains; internal tools for approvals, scheduling and reporting; and the administration screens behind them.

For our repair division, Princeton Service Center, we built a web application that runs the business end to end: a customer portal for booking and tracking repairs, and separate workspaces for technicians, accountants and administrators. Phase one went live in June 2026, and phase two is in progress.

What we do

  • Customer and supplier portals
  • Staff workspaces and internal tools
  • Single-page applications
  • Administration and reporting screens

Discovery

Start with the work, not the screens

Before designing anything, our consultants and developers sit down with the people who will use the application: how they work today, what they look up, where they wait and what goes wrong. We map the main journeys, agree what the first release must do and what can wait, and sketch the screens with the users before writing code. The result is a short, prioritized plan and a first release small enough to ship and learn from.

What we do

  • Interviews and workshops with real users
  • User journeys and a prioritized backlog
  • Clickable prototypes before code
  • A first release small enough to ship

Roles and access

One application, a workspace for every role

Most business applications serve several kinds of user who should see different things. We design role-based access from the start: each user signs in to the workspace for their role, sees only the records they should, and can take only the actions their role allows. Staff sign in with their company accounts, customers get their own secure sign-in, and every important action is logged.

What we do

  • Role-based workspaces and permissions
  • Single sign-on for staff
  • Secure sign-in for customers
  • An audit log of important actions

Technology

Proven frameworks, chosen for the long run

We build front ends in React and Angular and back ends in Node.js, .NET or Python, and we choose for the long run: technology your team can maintain, with a large community and a long support life ahead of it. Applications run on Azure or AWS, often in containers; the repair division platform runs on Azure Container Apps. Where an application works with Microsoft 365, it connects through Microsoft Graph, as Business Card Intelligence, our own product, does.

What we do

  • React and Angular front ends
  • Node.js, .NET and Python back ends
  • Containers on Azure and AWS
  • Microsoft 365 integration through Microsoft Graph

Quality

Tested, secure and fast before it ships

Every release goes through automated tests, a security review of anything that handles personal or financial data, and a check that the pages load quickly and work with a keyboard and a screen reader. Deployment is automated, so a release is routine rather than an event, and it can be rolled back if something goes wrong. Monitoring shows errors as they happen, so they can be fixed quickly.

What we do

  • Automated tests on every change
  • Security reviews and dependency updates
  • Accessibility and performance checks
  • Automated deployment with rollback

After launch

Support and the next release

An application is never finished: users ask for changes and the business moves on. After launch we fix what comes up, keep frameworks and dependencies current, and work through the next releases with you. When the application needs a mobile companion or has to connect to your ERP or CRM, that is built on the same back end, so the data and the rules stay in one place.

Questions

Common questions

Should we build a custom web application or buy software?

Buy when a product does what you need and your process is standard. Build when the way you work is part of your advantage, when you are stitching several tools together with spreadsheets, or when no product fits without heavy customization. We will tell you plainly if a product or a low-code app would serve you better.

How long does it take to build a web application?

It depends on the scope. We plan a first release that delivers the most important journey, put it in front of users, and then add to it in regular releases, so you see working software early rather than waiting for everything.

Can you take over an application someone else built?

Yes. We review the code, the hosting and the documentation, fix what is urgent and agree a plan for the rest, whether that is maintaining it, modernizing it step by step or rebuilding parts of it.

Will the application work on phones?

Yes. We design web applications to work on phones, tablets and desktops. When users need offline access, the camera or notifications, we add a mobile app on the same back end.
