SMS messaging terms and conditions

Guidelines and policies governing one-to-one conversational text messaging exchanged with Princeton IT Services business representatives.

Last updated October 14, 2026

About These Terms: These SMS Messaging Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") apply to text messages exchanged with Princeton IT Services ("Princeton IT Services," "we," "us," or "our") through our business phone numbers.

1. About Our Text Messaging Service

Princeton IT Services employees use their business phone numbers to exchange one-to-one, conversational text messages with customers and business contacts who have opted in. Messages may relate to:

  • Your IT service requests and support tickets
  • Updates on projects we are working on with you
  • Scheduling and confirming calls or meetings

Each message is written and sent individually by a Princeton IT Services employee. We do not use this service to send marketing, promotional, bulk, or automated messages.

2. Definitions

"Opting in" means giving us your consent to receive text messages at your mobile number.

"Text messaging service" means SMS messages sent to and from your mobile phone.

3. Consenting to Text Messages

You can opt in to receive text messages from Princeton IT Services by giving verbal consent to one of our employees during a phone call or meeting. Before you agree, the employee will:

  • Ask for your mobile number
  • Briefly explain these SMS Terms, including that message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time
  • Share a link to these SMS Terms and our Privacy Policy for your reference

The employee then records your consent (your name, mobile number and the date) before sending you any text message.

When the employee sends you the first message, you will automatically receive a confirmation from Princeton IT Services with HELP and STOP instructions. You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP.

By opting in, you agree to these SMS Terms, our general Terms and Conditions, and our Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.

4. Electronic Record of Consent

By agreeing to receive text messages, you also consent to the use of an electronic record to document your agreement. You may withdraw this consent at any time by replying STOP.

5. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your conversations with our team.

6. Cost of Messages

Princeton IT Services does not charge for text messages sent or received through this service. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

7. Opting Out

To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message. We also accept QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages from that number. To resubscribe, reply START.

8. Help

9. Privacy

We only use the information you provide through this service to send and respond to your text messages. Mobile numbers and opt-in data will not be shared, sold, rented, or traded with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. For more information about how we handle your information, please see our Privacy Policy.

This service is available on major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery may be affected by factors outside our control, such as network coverage.
