SAS implementation and management: environments set up, moved and kept running.
As a SAS partner, we install and upgrade SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya, move workloads off ageing servers and connect SAS to the rest of your data, then administer and support the platform, so your analysts spend their time on models rather than on servers.
Implementation
SAS installed and configured for the work it will do
A SAS implementation starts from the work: the data the platform reads, the jobs and models it runs, the people who use it and the controls that regulated work needs. We plan the deployment around that, install and configure SAS Viya or SAS 9.4, set up users, access and logging, and connect the data sources your teams need.
We test the environment with your own jobs before anyone relies on it, and hand over with documentation your administrators can use.
What we do
- SAS Viya and SAS 9.4 installed and configured
- Users, groups, access and logging set up
- Databases and cloud data platforms connected
- The environment tested with your own jobs, and documented
Upgrades and migration
Upgrades and moves to SAS Viya, without losing what works
Many SAS estates run on older releases and ageing servers, with years of programs and scheduled jobs the business depends on. We take an inventory of what runs, plan the upgrade or the move to SAS Viya, convert and test the code, and run old and new side by side until the results match.
For heavy batch and parallel work we set up and tune SAS Grid, so the jobs that matter most finish on time.
What we do
- An inventory of programs, jobs and data sources
- Upgrades to current SAS releases
- Migration from SAS 9.4 and ageing servers to SAS Viya
- Old and new run side by side until the results match
- SAS Grid set up and tuned
Run and manage
Administration and support after go-live
Once SAS is live it needs looking after: users and access, scheduled jobs, storage, hot fixes and the license renewal each year. We take that on with people who know your configuration, watch the jobs your teams depend on, and fix what fails before the people who rely on the results notice.
Licensing stays in the same conversation: our SAS License Reseller page covers new licenses and renewals.
What we do
- Users, groups and access
- Scheduled jobs watched, and failures fixed
- Hot fixes and upgrades tested and applied
- License renewals applied before the license date
Analytics
Models and reports built on the platform
We also build on SAS: data preparation, forecasting, risk and quality models, and reports delivered to the people who act on them. Models are documented for review, with how they were built and which inputs drive a result, because in regulated industries someone will ask. Our SAS Analytics practice does this work for life sciences, government, manufacturing and retail.
What we do
- Forecasting, risk and quality models, documented for review
- Data preparation and reporting
- Model governance and audit trails
Questions
Common questions
Do you implement both SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya?
Yes. We install, upgrade and administer both, and move workloads from SAS 9.4 to SAS Viya when that is the right next step.
Can you take over a SAS environment someone else set up?
Yes. We start with a review of the installation, the configuration, the scheduled jobs and the license, fix what would get in the way of the next upgrade or renewal, and then take over the day-to-day administration.
How long does a move to SAS Viya take?
It depends on how many programs and jobs move and how much they need to change. We plan it from an inventory of what runs today, and run old and new side by side until the results match before anything is switched off.
Which industries do you work with on SAS?
Mostly life sciences and healthcare, federal and state government, manufacturing and retail, where results have to be explained and audited.
