Make a fantastic app icon!

In the process of developing an app, one of the most important thing that comes in the way is to design an app icon. Though most app designer conceive of an app icon much before the development is done, but I believe, we always should remind ourselves of its importance and how it can influence the style and simplicity of the overall product. An app icon is a visual gate to your product. It is also a branding but also with an extra ability to communicate the core essence of your application. A bad app icons are among the top 3 reasons why apps get rejected.

The app icon should be made with simple shapes which keeps intact its identity and what it tries to communicate even in smaller sizes. Scalability is one of the most important aspect of it.

Try to avoid using photo or text in the icon.Words and pictures are separate representational tools, and mixing them in what is supposed to be a graphical representation often leads to chaos, better avoid it. Your icon must be distinct in the graphics and unique in itself.
