Job Title: Senior Tester

Location: Albany, NY

Position Type: Contract (W2 only)

Job Summary:

The Senior Tester will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of priority projects. This role will involve conducting quality assurance activities, including building and automating test cases based on system requirements, identifying and documenting defects, and ensuring compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, the Senior Tester may be involved in developing help documents for end users, necessitating clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute the entire QA process, including documenting test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various web applications, ensuring testing on both desktop and mobile devices.
  • Conduct various types of testing, including manual and automated testing using tools such as Selenium WebDriver for functional, integration, regression, system, ADA compliance, and performance testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated regression tests using Selenium WebDriver with .Net Core for multiple applications, employing frameworks such as Open2Test and keyword-driven methodologies across different browsers.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements, assist in defect triaging, and maintain defect logs using tools like Team Foundation Server (TFS) or HP Quality Center.
  • Analyze business needs and create user acceptance tests, along with relevant documentation.
  • Assist in the integration of software modules into functional solutions and conduct integration testing.

Requested Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 yrs. of experience in creating, maintaining, and executing regression/automation tests using UFT (Unified Functional Testing) tool with Selenium WebDriver using .Net Core 2.0 or Java across various browsers.
  • Proficiency in ADA compliance testing using tools such as JAWS, WAVE, and NVDA, along with experience in performance testing using LoadRunner.
  • Minimum 7 yrs. of experience in quality assurance, usability testing, and analysis, utilizing ALM QC for managing test cases, executing tests, and tracking defects.
  • Minimum 7 yrs. of experience coordinating, tracking, and analyzing testing activities, working closely with business analysts, subject matter experts, and technical staff, including the use of defect management tools.
  • Minimum 6 yrs. of experience in creating test documents for user acceptance testing, as well as experience in functional and UAT testing.
  • Minimum 6 yrs. of experience working with applications that handle PHI (Protected Health Information) data.
  • Minimum 6 yrs. of experience using Team Foundation Server and SharePoint.
  • Minimum 5 yrs. of experience working in an Agile development environment.
