Position Type: Long term

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Performance DBA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and performance tuning. The successful candidate will also be responsible for root cause analysis and providing suggestions for performance improvements and best practices to the development team.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Oracle databases to ensure optimal performance

Perform root cause analysis on database performance issues and implement corrective actions

Provide suggestions and recommendations to the development team for performance improvements and best practices

Design and implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of the database

Develop and maintain database documentation, including policies, procedures, and standards

Monitor database performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager or similar tools

Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical guidance and support

Stay up-to-date with new database technologies and make recommendations for enhancements to existing systems

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Performance DBA

Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL

Expertise in performance tuning and root cause analysis

Experience in database backup and recovery procedures

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice to have:

Experience with AWS RDS

Oracle certifications
