Job Title: Business Analyst Expert

Location: Schenectady, NY

Role Type: Contract (W2 only)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst Expert with extensive experience in gathering requirements using various methodologies and evaluating information from multiple sources. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare-related government agencies, proficiency in Java software environments, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements using different methodologies such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from underlying true needs.
  • Communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
  • Deliver artifacts including Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Use Cases, GUI, and Screen and Interface Designs as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in a healthcare-related government agency serving individuals with special needs, translating and documenting technical information for business/program consumption to ensure consistency and common understanding across stakeholder groups.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience performing business analysis for applications developed in a JAVA software environment.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with analysis and documentation of business systems or processes, writing deliverables, business and functional requirements, test plans, training guides, deployment plans, documenting workflow processes, developing use cases, context diagrams, descriptions of data elements, and overall program goals, objectives, and external considerations such as federal and state mandates.
  • Minimum 7 years of public sector experience communicating and working with high-level staff.
  • A-CSM (Advanced Certified ScrumMaster) certification is preferred.
