Job Title: Advanced Infrastructure Engineer (Perimeter Security Engineer)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Infrastructure Engineer, specializing in Perimeter Security Engineering, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in network engineering with a focus on F5 load balancing technologies. The role requires a self-starter with strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The candidate must be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation, migration, and decommissioning of F5 Load Balancing technologies including GTM, LTM, ASM, APM, and AFM.
  • Administration and maintenance of F5 Load Balancers, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and implement perimeter security solutions.
  • Participation in 24×7 on-call rotation, with on-call responsibilities occurring once every three weeks.
  • Configuration and management of forward and reverse proxy technologies.
  • Implementation and support of Cisco networking technologies including routing, switching, and firewall products.
  • Development of automation scripts using general-purpose programming/scripting languages such as Python and Unix.
  • Adherence to processes and procedures to minimize risk and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Collaboration with vendors and customers to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on perimeter security.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with F5 Load Balancing technologies. Experience with other global load balancers will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in Cisco networking technologies (routing/switching) and firewall products.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong work ethic with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility to work off-hours, weekends, and participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation.
  • F5 certifications are preferred but not required; equivalent experience will be considered.
